Francis “Frank” Edward Taylor, age 78, passed away Friday morning, December 1, 2017 at his home in Grantsville, Utah.

He was born November 9, 1939 in Nashville, Tennessee to Homer and Agnes Taylor. Frank came from a large family of 3 sisters and 5 brothers, all with the exception of 1 have preceded him in death.

He attended Bernardian Catholic School, after graduation he joined the Army at age 17 in 1957. He did 3 tours of duty in Germany, a Tour in Alaska, and a Hardship tour during the Korean Conflict, serving his country for 8 years. He was honorably discharged from the service in 1965. He and Ramona moved back to Grantsville and had their daughter Lisa.

Frank worked at Tooele Army Depot and Lakeside, while at Lakeside he was a Scientific Photographer, photographing bombing runs and munition tests, a job he really enjoyed.

Upon retiring from Lakeside he got into Auto Sales. He worked at multiple dealerships before opening his own in Tooele with his daughter Lisa, Taylor Auto Sales. For 18 years the car lot was a daily coffee stop for many people, whether you bought a car or not. Frank always had time to chat.

Frank spent some of his best times with Eddie and Allen picking pine nuts, riding horses, hunting in the mountains. He enjoyed riding his 4 wheeler and was a very good golfer.
