Welcome to the memorial page for

Richard "Dick" Webber

April 15, 1957 ~ June 8, 2017 (age 60)

Richard “Dick” Webber, 60, died unexpectedly on Thursday, June 8, 2017, in Sandy, Utah. He was born in April 1957 in Augusta, Maine, son of Richard Webber, Sr. and Gerene Beaulieu Webber. Known among his friends and family as a lover of lobster, whoopie pies and gambling towns.

Dick was a hard worker from an early age, helping at his Dad’s store, Webber’s Variety, at the age of eight, earning comic books for pay, including his favorite Archie Comics. He graduated in 1976 from Deering High School in Portland, Maine. He was particularly proud of a time he held 14 jobs simultaneously, wining a bet that he had made with a friend.

Dick worked in the printing industry for over 25 years and established his own printing business in Southern California named 1st Impression Printing. Additionally, Dick loved to build and create. Later, after moving to Utah, he founded Webber Countertops, LLC, building residential and commercial countertops.

Dick was the quintessential people person with a magnetic personality. He thoroughly enjoyed talking with people, and was genuinely interested in their lives and stories. Always a comedian, he will be forever remembered for bringing smiles and laughter to all.

Dick married Liza Mercer on February 10, 1990, at Lake Hills Community Church, in Laguna Hills, California. He is survived by two children, Alexander Webber and Grace Webber (Chandler Swank), father Richard Webber, Sr. (Rita Webber), sister Diandra Webber Staples (Andrew Staples), brother Dustin Webber (Meri Scott), six nephews, Tony, Ethan, Charlie, Noah, Rick and Hayden, in-laws Dick and Diane Mercer, Ken and Jennifer Sauvageau, Al Mercer, Robert Charlton and Tammie Grard Webber. He is also survived by dear friends David and Desiree Guertin, the Green family, the Tomicic family, the Ellis family and the Espinoza family.

Dick was preceded in death by his mother Gerene and his sisters Susan Webber Englert and Tina Webber Esty.
